Once you have Sim-Net FirstClass Client and Settings File AND IPRemote Installed on your system, you will need to connect to your internet provider.
Setting up FirstClass... Open the program "Sim-Net FC Settings" that you installed earlier. Click the login button (note:you must be already connected to the internet)
. The login process can take a few seconds, or up to a few minutes, depending on network traffic. Rarely should you experience long login delays.
NOTE: You do NOT need to be connected to the Sim-net Server using IPRemote BEFORE you attempt to connect using the FirstClass Software!! They are independant servers. This means that you can chat, upload/download, and set up games PRIOR to connecting to the IPRemote Server.
Configuring IPRemote... Once connected to your internet provider, open the control panel "Network". You will see a display of a few icons. Click once on "IPRemote AT". A dialog box will appear asking if you want to change your connection to IPRemote. HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY WHILE AT THE SAME TIME PRESSING THE "OK" BUTTON. A new dialog box will appear. Type in the Address of the Sim-Net Server (The addresswill be made available to you once you have properly logged into SimNet FC). Type in your guest name and password and select "OK". This will take a minute. You will now have established an AppleTalk connection with Sim-Net!.
